There surely could not be a better vehicle for exploring Paris than the classic Citroën 2CV. The creator of this great tourism concept is the 4 Roues Sous 1 Parapluie agency, which is recognized for the wealth of extraordinary and creative ideas it offers for tourists to discover the capital. Dressed in a striped sailor shirt, the smiling driver welcomes you into his 2CV and you get ready to enjoy the wildest getaway to new and unexplored Paris places that you have ever known. Between the unsuspected alleys and unusual places and the classic landmarks and monuments, you will discover real Paris life. Your friendly guide and chauffeur, proud of his roots, will share with you a wealth of anecdotes and experiences that you have never heard during your previous trips to the capital. As a family or a couple, you choose from the various routes and themes proposed by the agency.
Tropical aquarium, aquatic biodiversity and family fun
The Hotel L’Interlude offers the ideal base from which to discover the City of Light. Not far away from our location you will find the very popular Aquarium Tropical, housed in the Art Deco style Palais de la Porte Dorée, a truly unique building dating from the 1930s. To give you a taste of what awaits you, the aquarium has almost 5000 specimens of marine and freshwater life belonging to over 300 species, comfortably accommodated in more than 350,000 litres of water. In addition to sharks, piranhas, cuttlefish, turtles, stingrays, luminous deep water specimens and primitive lungfish, you can get acquainted with the newcomers: African dwarf crocodiles and albino alligators.
A verdant promenade in the 12th arrondissement
Close to the Hotel L’Interlude you will also have the opportunity to take a long, flowery and shaded walk from the place de la Bastille, passing by the Viaduc des Arts and the Jardin de Reuilly to Charles-Péguy square. This is the famous Promenade Plantée, also known as the Coulée Verte René Dumont, a linear park occupying a former railway line. Over a 4.7 km route, you can enjoy the wonderful botanical diversity of vines, shrubs, several varieties of lime trees, hazel, holly, and plenty of grass. Wander through tunnels, along viaducts and pause for a picnic lunch on the grass. During your walk, you might even surprise some sleeping pipistrelle bats!
