Rock en Seine & the Fête de la Gastronomie
If you’re in Paris during the last weeks of August, the summer party continues with the Rock en Seine Festival during August 28th, 29th, and 30th. The event brings together all different kinds of contemporary music for a wide range of tastes, including electro, pop, punk..., but above all it shines the spotlight on legends such as The Offspring and The Chemical Brothers. When you stay at the Hotel L’Interlude you will be well located for this event, and also for the Fête de la Gastronomie on 25th, 26th, and 27th September 2015.
Rock and fun!
It all began in 2003, when young rock fans decided to put together a festival highlighting the music they felt passionate about. Since then, the last weekend of August has been exclusively devoted to Rock en Seine and the event’s reputation and popularity has grown each year until now it’s one of the most famous in Europe. Judging by the electric atmosphere of previous years, 2015 will be another triumph. The festival takes place in the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, a beautiful park on the outskirts of Paris. The musical action takes place on 5 stages within the verdant natural surroundings of the park. More than 30 bands will take turns to entertain and excite you throughout the weekend. Along with big names such as the headliners Kasabian, The Libertines and Etienne Daho, there will appear newer acts and rising stars such as FFS, Jungle, Fuzz and Wolf Alice. All have the right stuff to take the crowd into a delirious new universe. Plus, if you intend to take your kids, do not hesitate, as it’s a family-friendly event. There’s a children’s program at Mini Rock en Seine, with organised workshops, contests, painting, storytelling sessions and various fun games for all ages.
The Fête de la Gastronomie: an annual meeting of gourmets
Since 2011, the Fête de la Gastronomie has been held every year during the fourth weekend in September. Professionals and guests from all regions of France and all over the world attend this major celebration of the fine food of our country. Over 4 editions, the organisers have gained the experience and know-how to turn this event into something quite extraordinary. For this 5th edition, why not stay at the Hotel L’Interlude and seize the opportunity to discover this true gastronomic event in Paris? A full programme of events brings together food professionals and the hungry general public to mutual gastronomic satisfaction. You can enjoy cooking demonstrations, recipe competitions and cut priced tastings in fine restaurants, or perhaps enjoy excellent cuisine outdoors in a playful atmosphere. Banquets, picnics, markets, tastings; all will be yours to savour. The 4th edition made a big splash with 9291 events throughout France attracting nearly 2 million visitors and 280 000 professionals, and we believe the 2015 event will be an even bigger success.
